Installing Plugins to Flash 0

Okay, so first of all I just want to say I take no responsibility if anything happens to your PSP, since this CAN cause a semi-brick and a brick(almost impossible)

Secondly, I would suggest copying all folders in your flash 0 (just in case something does go wrong, you can copy them all back).

Okay, lets get started..

First of all download & extract BTCNFEdit for phat and slim PSP to your desktop. and make 2 new folders, "plugins" and "Flash 0"

After you've downloaded and extracted BTCNFEdit, you're going to need to access your PSPs flash 0.. do to this press 'Select' on the XMB and change "USB Device" to "Flash 0". then enter USB mode.

Now copy the contents of your flash 0 the "Flash 0" folder on your desktop.

Next, open up your flash 0 folder on your desktop and you need to find 3 files in the flash0/kd/ folder --> pspbtjnf.bin, pspbtknf.bin,pspbtlnf.bin (for slim users btjnf_02g.bin, pspbtknf_02g.bin, and pspbtlnf_02g.bin) and copy these 3 files into NewBTCNFEditFatPC or NewBTCNFEditSlimPC (depending on PSP model).

Once these files have been copied into the right folder run "Décompiler.bat" this will make 3 new .txt files and also create a backup (.bak) of each file.

Now we have to modify the .txt files.. to do this open them in your favorite text editor.. (i used WordPad), and do a search for "$/kd/mediasync.prx VGUPA" and right under that should be "$/kd/me_wrapper.prx VGUA" were going to add our plugins BETWEEN these 2 lines. (if your wondering what VGUA stands for scroll down a little, since you need to add the appropriate letter(s) for when your plugin needs to load)

Once you have your .prx plugins, copy the .prx to the "plugins" folder you made

Once you have your plugins, we can add them to our 3 .txt files.
(I used FuSaSCR.prx, Hold.prx,PaintOnXMB.prx , and TweakDISPLAY.prx.. more plugins can be found Here)

As for the VGUAP they mean as follows
V = XMB/VSH plugin --> The plugin will be loaded in the XMB.
G = Game ------------> The plugin will be loaded in GAME.
U = UPDATER --------> The plugin will be loaded in UPDATER.
A = APP --------------> The plugin will be loaded in APP MODE.
P = POPS -------------> The plugin will be loaded in POPS.

Once your done adding all your plugin lines, along with the appropriate ending (VGUAP) you can save the text files and run "Recompiler.bat" which will give you 3 .bin files again..

After this finishes, you need to copy your "plugins" folder and the 3 bin files back to the psp (which should still be set to flash 0 :p)

the "plugins" folder goes straight onto the flash in no other folder (unless you changed it otherwise)

and overwrite your old bin files in your flash 0 /kd/ directory

once their copied over, power cycle your PSP.. and your plugins will be ready to use without having to worry if you have them on your other memory stick, enabled etc..!

I tried it on a Phat and Slim both running 5.00 m33-6.
on my slim i forgot to copy over the plugin folder which resulted in a semi-brick, i just went into the recovery menu (hold the R button while PSP is booting) and went configuration --> Toggle USB (Flash 0) and copied it over which fixed the problem.

If you have any question please feel free to ask.
